About Us

About Us

Seaview Little League was founded in 1971 and covers Southeast Huntington Beach and we offer 7 different divisions for playing baseball. We are a non-profit charitable organization whose mission exists to provide a healthy environment for the youth of our community to play baseball, meet new friends and build self-confidence. Through the game of baseball, we encourage participation, develop character and discipline, promote teamwork and advocate citizenship and community pride. SVLL is under the umbrella of Little League International, Inc., and Little League District 62 of Southern California. SVLL operates as an all-volunteer program.  We rely on the support of our network of families and local businesses, as well as corporate and community sponsors.

SVLL offers the following baseball programs:

Tee-Ball League Ages 4-6*. Tee-Ball divisions promote non-competitive, instructional baseball and should be viewed as such by managers, coaches, parents, and fans. The emphasis is on having fun and developing basic skills for all players. Weekly practices and games. The games include three innings of “baseball” in which each player have a turn to bat and run the bases. Neither score nor standings are recorded, and there are no playoffs. Tee-Ball players will hit off a stationary tee for the entire season.

Rookie Ball: League Ages 5-7*. Rookie Ball promotes non-competitive, instructional baseball and should be viewed as such by managers, coaches, parents, and fans. The emphasis is on having fun and continuing skill development for all players. Neither score nor standings are recorded, and there are no playoffs. During the first half of the season, batters will hit off a pitching machine, and face live pitching from coaches during the second half. Tee will be used after 5 pitches.

Coach Pitch: League Ages 6-8*. Coach Pitch promotes non-competitive, instructional baseball and should be viewed as such by managers, coaches, parents, and fans. The emphasis is on having fun and continuing skill development for all players. Neither score nor standings are recorded, and there are no playoffs. During the first half of the season, batters will hit off a pitching machine, and face live pitching from coaches during the second half. No Tee will be used.

Minor C: Minor C includes League Ages 7-9. While the Minor C division is primarily instructional baseball and continuing skill development for all players, “friendly” competition is encouraged in the context of teaching the game. This level is also a transitional division of sorts in that batters will face live pitching from fellow players. Scores and standings are also recorded and the top two teams with play in a Championship game.

Minor B: Minor B includes League Ages 8-10. The playing rules for the Minor B division conform to the annual “Official Regulation and Playing Rules” for Little League Baseball with some modifications or additions as documented in the SVLL Local Rules. The top two teams will move on to the District 62 Tournament of Champions.

Minor A: Minor A includes League Ages 9-11. The playing rules for the Minor A division conform to the annual “Official Regulation and Playing Rules” for Little League Baseball with some modifications or additions as documented in the SVLL Local Rules. Majors: League ages 10-12. The playing rules for the Majors division conform to the annual “Official Regulation and Playing Rules” for Little League Baseball with some modifications or additions as documented in the SVLL Local Rules.
